In a previous post you stated the US is facing the worst economic crisis in decades.
Well you have been misinformed. Take a look at 1981 or 1992.
Here are some facts for you.
USA- GDP 2.7-3%. Unemployment-5.8%
Canada-GDP- Less than 1%- Unemployment-7.5%
France-GDP-Less than 1% Unemployment- Over 10%
Germany-GDP-Less than 1% Unemployment- Over 10%
Keep in mind France and Germany on their best day don't have unemployment rates of less than 7-8%.
They are too busy taxing and spending money on failed social programs. There answer to everything is to raise taxes and it's a disaster. None of these countries will be able to compete with us in any meaningful way as long as they have socialist governments that pander to the trade unions.
The EU and one currency will never work. It's like treating an aids patient, cancer patient and a diabetic with the same medication.
Bush wants to cut taxes to stimulate growth. This is a proven stimulus that works. Coupled with an FCC that doesn't over regulate we would be all set right now.
